Is There a Connection Between Autism and Vaccines in Children?

The quantity of routine childhood vaccine doses recommended in the U.S. has significantly increased from 1975 to 2025, according to credible organizations such as the CDC, ACIP, and AAP.

Vaccine doses have risen from approximately 10–12 in 1975 to around 45–55 in 2025. This rise is attributed to the introduction of new vaccines (such as Hib, HepB, HPV, and COVID-19) and annual recommendations (like Flu and COVID-19).

Throughout this period, vaccine hesitancy and assertions regarding autism have also escalated; however, definitive conclusions cannot be drawn at this time due to the need for further data collection and studies. Researchers indicate that there is a lack of causal relationships and emphasize the necessity to verify data with trustworthy sources.
